Off the Back of a Napkin

FROM IDEA TO OBJECT

Maybe you’re a maker with a need for something new: a new collaboration, a new collection, a new market or means of manufacturing. Or you have an idea but need help connecting with the right technical or creative people to realise it. Perhaps you have a client who wants a bespoke product and you’re looking for additional expertise or to outsource the project. Whether you’re brimming with ideas, bursting with technique or just have a vision for a one-off piece this Meetup is for you.

PSC has joined forces with multidisciplinary design and manufacturing company StudioMake Create to host a London Meetup for fabricators, makers and other creators. Anyone interested in taking an idea off the back of a napkin and putting it in the real world is welcome. Meet others with ideas, expertise or both.

Thursday 30 April · 4.30 pm – 8.30 pm
10 Great Titchfield St., W1W 8BB

Our second Meetup of this year is taking place at Material Lab, a sample library tailored for the architecture & design community (though we think artists – and especially sculptors – will get a lot out of what’s on show too!).  At Material Lab you’re free to explore hundreds of different materials for your projects. You can immerse yourself in surface coverings of every kind – plastic, leather, vinyl, ceramic, paper, textile, glass – take samples away free of charge, discover the latest trends & innovations, get expert advice & be inspired. At 6.30pm we will move on to the nearby Cock Tavern (a great value Samuel Smiths Pub with lots of period character) to continue the conversations.
