An installation comprising three shelters made from mycelium, Portland stone and cob. This artwork offers an innovative way to bring together considerations around sustainable materials with current concerns connected to immigration, homelessness and precarity.

Loss of object and bondage to it; Fig. 2 by Frances Richardson is the third public sculpture commission for ‘Sculpture at Bermondsey Square’, a unique opportunity for an early or mid-career artist to work on a major public artwork. Richardson’s sculptural practice is an inquiry into the relationship between embodied cognition of architecture and human agency.
